The original illustrations offered here were conceived by former policeman Vince Parisi, who has long comforted his own children at bedtime with Psalm 91. Looking for an illustration to accompany the children’s blessing, Vince Parisi sought out an artist who could bring life to guardian angels as powerful yet tender as they appear through the Bible. He found such a person in freelance illustrator, Frank Ordaz, a graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Frank Ordaz worked for many years for Lucas Films on such movies as ET, Indiana Jones, The Never Ending Story, Star Trek, and many more. Their collaboration resulted in seven moving scenes that capture the most tender moments of childhood. Company of Angels has been selling these wonderful guardian angel prints since 1993. |
